Your browser first asks which screen, window or tab you want to share. Media2URL captures one still image from that selection, saves it as a PNG and ends the screen-sharing session before the screenshot is uploaded.

Sometimes the easiest way to explain what is happening on your screen is with a screenshot, but the place where you need to share it asks for a URL instead of an attachment. Screenshot to URL lets you capture a screen, app window or browser tab, or upload a screenshot you already have.
Once the screenshot is uploaded, you can copy the direct image URL, share page or another available format based on where you need to use it.

Strict upload policy: do not upload malware, viruses, NSFW content, illegal content, phishing files, executable payloads, abusive content, or copyrighted material you do not own. Violations may lead to immediate file removal, link disabling, account deletion, and permanent bans.

Once the screenshot finishes uploading, the result panel keeps the available links and code formats together. Use the direct screenshot URL when another website or tool needs the image itself.
A share page is usually easier when you are sending the screenshot to another person. They can open it in a normal browser page instead of receiving the original image as an attachment.

Embed and forum formats
The current result panel can show HTML, Markdown and BBCode values for the screenshot, along with a delete link and QR output.
Privacy and expiry selectors
The screenshot tool shows the privacy and expiry options available for your account. Use them when the screenshot should not remain publicly accessible for longer than needed.
Copy one value at a time
Each output field has its own copy control. If clipboard permission is refused, select the visible value and use the browser’s normal copy command.

Share visual evidence without attaching the original file
Error screenshots
Capture the browser tab or application window that shows the error, then send the share page in a ticket or use the direct image URL in a troubleshooting note.
App and website captures
Select the relevant window or tab for a product review. The resulting image can be placed in a Markdown document, forum post or support reply.
Design feedback
Upload a saved design screenshot when the image already exists. A share page gives a reviewer a browser view without adding another attachment to the conversation.
Support handoffs
Support screenshots often contain details that are only useful for one case. When the image does not need to remain available long term, use the expiry or privacy options available for your account before sending the link.

Screenshots can reveal more than the error
A screenshot taken for support may capture more than the part you intended to show. Browser tabs, account names, email addresses or other information can remain visible around the error or application window.
Check the captured image before you copy its link, especially when the screenshot will be shared publicly or posted in a forum. If only one part of the screen matters, capture the smallest useful window or prepare the image first with the Image Editor.
For support files that only need to stay available for a short time, Temporary Image Upload can be a better fit than keeping the screenshot link active indefinitely.

What to expect from screen capture
- Screen capture needs permission from your browser. If you cancel the screen-sharing prompt or the browser blocks the request, Media2URL cannot capture the screenshot.
- The capture tool creates one PNG screenshot from a single frame. It does not record your screen or capture continuous video.
- Existing screenshots can be uploaded as PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF where accepted by the current upload policy. File-size and plan limits still apply.
- The page creates link outputs, but it does not automatically insert them into Slack, Google Docs, Microsoft Word or another external application.
