How Media2URL handles copyright takedown notices, counter notices, repeat infringement, and hosted media reported under the DMCA.

Media2URL can host images, PDFs, videos, audio, GIFs, and other files uploaded by users. If someone uses the service to host copyrighted work without permission, the copyright owner or authorized agent can send a takedown notice.
This policy explains what a notice should include, how counter notices work, and how repeat infringement can affect an account. It is not legal advice, but it is designed to make the review process practical.
Make sure the file is hosted by Media2URL and include the exact link where the material appears. If the file is embedded on another website but not hosted here, you may need to contact that website, its host, or the platform that controls the copy.
Consider whether the use may be authorized, licensed, public domain, fair use, or otherwise lawful. A mistaken takedown notice can harm lawful speech and may create legal responsibility for the sender.
A complete notice should identify the copyrighted work, identify the Media2URL URL or storage location to be removed, provide your contact information, include a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized, include a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act, and include a physical or electronic signature.
If multiple files are involved, provide a representative list and enough detail for the team to locate each item. A vague request such as remove my photos without URLs may be too incomplete to process.
When Media2URL receives a valid copyright notice, it may remove or disable access to the reported material and notify the uploader when practical. The account may also receive a strike or other enforcement action depending on the history and severity of the claim.
If a notice is incomplete, Media2URL may ask for missing information. If a report appears abusive, fraudulent, unrelated to Media2URL, or aimed at material that is clearly not hosted here, it may be rejected or routed to another process.
An uploader who believes material was removed by mistake or misidentification may submit a counter notice with contact information, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, consent to the proper court jurisdiction where required, and a physical or electronic signature.
After a valid counter notice, Media2URL may forward it to the original complainant and may restore the material if the complainant does not show that they filed a court action within the required period. The exact process can depend on law, jurisdiction, and the facts of the dispute.
Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing material may be suspended, limited, or terminated. Repeat infringement can be measured by valid notices, account behavior, upload patterns, evasive conduct, or other reliable evidence.
Trying to re-upload removed files, move them to new slugs, rotate accounts, or hide infringing material may lead to stronger enforcement.
