About Media2URL
Media2URL was built by two brothers who have spent years working with websites, apps, online tools, content projects, and digital products.
We are Sagar Sahu and Sourabha Sahu. Sagar has more than 8 years of experience in online business, marketing, and product growth. Sourabha has more than 6 years of experience in development, websites, tools, and digital workflows.
Before building Media2URL, we were already running online projects where files were part of our daily work. We needed to share images, screenshots, PDFs, videos, GIFs, and other media files with team members, users, clients, and websites. The problem looked small at first, but it kept coming back again and again.
A file saved on a laptop or phone is not always useful by itself. Many times, you need a proper link. A blog editor may ask for an image URL. A support reply may need a screenshot link. A developer may need a direct file URL for a test page. A client may need a preview link instead of a large attachment.
That is where the real issue started for us.
The Friction We Faced
We used different upload websites, cloud storage links, temporary sharing pages, and manual workarounds. Some links were too long. Some links opened a preview page when we needed the actual file. Some files were hard to find later. Some tools did not give expiry, password control, or proper file management.
Why we created Media2URL
Media2URL was created to solve a very practical problem. We wanted one place where a user could upload a media file and get usable links without confusion. The goal was not only to build another image uploader. The goal was to build a media link hosting system where users can upload, host, share, manage, protect, and track their files from one place.
In our own work, we needed different link formats for different situations. A website needed a direct URL. A client needed a share page. A documentation page needed Markdown. A forum post needed BBCode. A mobile user needed a QR code.
That is the reason we support direct URLs, share pages, HTML code, Markdown code, BBCode, and QR codes where supported. We also added options like expiry links, private links, password protected links, folders, upload history, file replacement, and usage tracking because real file sharing does not end after the first upload.
Our background
We come from a hands-on digital business background. Sagar has worked on online marketing, SEO, product growth, monetization, content strategy, and user acquisition for many years. His focus is on understanding what users search for, what problems they face, and what kind of tools make daily online work easier. Sourabha works more on development, product structure, websites, technical systems, and tool building. His focus is on creating simple workflows that people can use without needing technical knowledge.
Together, we have spent years building and managing web-based projects. That experience helped us understand one thing clearly. A tool is only useful when it fits into the user’s real workflow. Media2URL is built with that thinking. It is not made only for technical users. It is made for bloggers, creators, marketers, developers, support teams, students, office users, and small businesses who need files to work as links.
What Media2URL does
Media2URL helps you upload media files and turn them into usable share links. You can upload images, videos, GIFs, PDFs, audio, and safe files based on the supported plan and upload rules. After upload, you can copy different output formats depending on the file type and use case.
| Output | Where it helps |
|---|---|
| Direct URL | Websites, apps, HTML tags, Markdown files, and download fields |
| Share page | Client messages, support replies, previews, and team sharing |
| HTML code | Blog editors, websites, and web pages |
| Markdown code | README files, docs, and technical notes |
| BBCode | Forums and community boards |
| QR code | Mobile sharing, posters, documents, and quick access |
How we work
We are building Media2URL as a practical product first. That means we focus on features that solve real sharing problems. We do not want to add complex options only because they sound good. Every feature should have a real use case.
Simple upload flow
The user should understand what to do without reading a guide first.
Useful link formats
The output should match real places where people use links.
Practical control
Users should have privacy, expiry, dashboard, and file management options.
Transparent rules
Limits, upload policy, and legal pages should be visible before trust is expected.
Our transparency & policy safety
We know that file hosting needs trust. People upload files because they expect the platform to handle them responsibly. That is why Media2URL clearly shows upload rules, plan limits, expiry options, privacy choices, and legal pages. We do not want Media2URL to become a place for unsafe, abusive, or illegal uploads. Our upload policy does not allow malware, viruses, phishing, illegal content, NSFW content, or copyrighted material.
