Start with the destination
Decide whether the next place needs the file itself, a browser share page, HTML, Markdown, BBCode or a QR code. That choice determines which output row is useful.

Complete the relevant upload flow and wait for the result panel to show the generated values for that file type.

Use the row’s copy button, or select the displayed value if the browser does not allow clipboard access. The generated URL remains visible while the result is on screen.

Image workflows can provide Markdown image syntax. Paste it into a README, issue or documentation editor that supports Markdown, then adjust the surrounding text as needed.
Forums and support replies
BBCode is available on supported image-oriented output surfaces. A direct URL or share-page URL is the safer choice when a forum or ticket editor does not accept BBCode.

Media2URL does not automatically insert a link into Google Docs, Word, Slack, GitHub or another external application. You paste the value and verify how that service renders it.

A website image
Use the direct image URL or the generated HTML value when a page needs the image response itself. A share-page URL is better for a human review link than for an image element.
A Markdown guide
Copy the Markdown output for a README or help document, then edit the alt text in the document so it describes the actual screenshot or asset.
A forum post
Choose BBCode where the forum supports it. If the editor strips BBCode, paste the direct or share-page URL and let the forum’s own link handling take over.
A support reply
Send the share page when a customer should see a browser preview, or send the direct URL when the recipient’s system expects the file response.
Before you rely on it
What the generated formats do not promise
- The available output rows depend on the file type and whether you are using the public upload result or a dashboard asset panel.
- A destination may sanitize HTML, strip Markdown or reject BBCode even when Media2URL generated the value correctly.
- Clipboard support depends on the browser permission and context. Manual selection remains the fallback when a write is refused.
- A direct URL still follows the asset’s privacy, expiry, download and disabled-link settings; formatting does not change access rules.
